One for all of you hopeless romantics out there - Auckland pop artist Taylor Roche has just released his new swoon-worthy anthemic ballad ‘All I Need’, a track about falling for someone but not knowing exactly where you stand with them (haven’t we all been there), and the ensuing emotional rollercoaster ride of the ‘do-they-don’t-they’ hopes and doubts. The product of a writing session while in studio with Auckland producer Will Henderson, the track follows his recent single ‘why can’t we’ and is accompanied by a lyric video with a vintage 80s aesthetic, filmed and edited by Taylor.

Embodying something of a (new) New Romantic spirit, Taylor draws on the likes of 80s pop favourites Tears for Fears, Prince and Chicago, adding a modern pop/R&B twist to place himself in a category where he shines. These influences translate unobtrusively into ‘All I Need’: with pulsing 80s-style synths providing the perfect nostalgic backbone to the track, Taylor’s adept, smooth and emotive vocals shimmer on top, soaring to climactic heights in the mesmerising chorus as he muses over the uncertainties of new love.

No stranger to the stage, Taylor began performing at an early age, developing a passion for his particular brand of music in the process. He has performed across New Zealand, Australia and the Pacific Islands, and has also spent time based out of New Orleans, Miami, Orlando and the Caribbean, performing as the lead vocalist for a 9 piece pop party band for the largest cruise line corporation in the world.
